the official
launching of Gaisano Countrymall’s 20th Anniversary Run,
last September 19,2013.
Interested
on what this “run” is aiming for, I was extra attentive.
Much to my surprise,
the launching was an invites only event
and a lot of media partners were there.
I was even more surprised with all the things I found out
when Alexis Gaisano (owner) and representatives of
the C.U.R.E Foundation explained to us
what the run is all about and what they stand for.
After the launching,
here
are the top 3 things I want to share:
. An estimated 60,000 to
100,000 children are trafficked, abused and sold into sexual slavery.
. Cebu is famous for
its child sex tourism and it is even cheaper here, than in Taiwan.
. This RUN is on Oct. 13,
2013 and attached below are the official posters with more information about the
Anniversary Run. This event aims to support and help the C.U.R.E Foundation
Inc., a non-stock, non-profit, non-government charitable organization
registered with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and licensed under
Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) that executes various
community and social development programs for children and families. The foundation
aims to help rebuild
human lives, rebuild human dignity and in the process, rebuild the nation.
I
adore – love children.
The pureness of a child’s ignorance and untainted mind
is
truly a valuable thing that I would want to nurture and guide.
These facts
really broke my heart.
So I invite everyone - - - to join the run.
Run
and be the reason behind a child’s better opportunity in life.
